Hi there! I’m Missy Williamson, a mom of three on a journey I never quite expected. When I became a mother for the first time, some seven years ago, I was overwhelmed, lost, and frankly, terrified. Like many new moms, I thought I had to have all the answers. But I quickly realized that the internet didn’t have what I was looking for– real, practical advice on how to keep my children safe.
Back then, I would spend hours digging through online forums, talking to other moms in maternity groups, and asking anyone I knew for advice. Most days, it felt like I was piecing together a puzzle without all the pieces. From baby-proofing our home to making sure my boys didn’t get into too much trouble outdoors, every day felt like a new challenge. And just when I thought I had it all figured out, my daughter came along– just as curious, and though less chaotic than her brothers, she still found plenty of ways to test my limits.
Now, with my youngest nearing two, I finally feel like I can catch my breath– and it’s time for me to give back the community I owe so much. I started this blog because I remember what it felt like to be that overwhelmed, first-time mom, desperately searching for answers but not finding much that felt helpful.
Through my own trial and error, I’ve picked up countless child safety tips and how to handle the many risks that come with raising little ones. My husband and I have also learned how to navigate raising an active child with ADHD, which has been a learning curve of its own.
By the time my daughter came along, I had learned a lot about baby-proofing, infant and toddler safety, and which baby safety products are actually worth it both inside and outside the house. This blog is my way of sharing the lessons we’ve learned, the mistakes we’ve made, and the safety habits that have worked for us.
I’m not an expert or a doctor, but I am a mom– just like you. I know what it’s like to worry about your children’s safety every moment of the day. My hope is that through this space, I can make your parenting journey a little bit easier by sharing tips that are practical, relatable, and easy to implement.
At the end of the day, we’re all just trying to do the best for our kids. I’m here to help you find the peace of mind I was once searching for. Welcome to my blog– I’m so glad you’re here!
I am a mother of three sharing practical child safety tips from my own experiences. After struggling to find reliable advice as a new mom, I now offer other parents the insights I’ve gained on baby-proofing– both at home and outdoors, over my seven years of motherhood.
